DrawAIM — Engineering Drawing Intelligence
Every drawing. Fully decoded. Instantly structured.
DrawAIM reads 2D & 3D mechanical drawings and extracts assembly and child part level information including Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances (GD&T), material specifications, surface finish requirements, title block data — producing a structured Part Intelligence Record, including assembly to part level delineation, delivered to downstream systems in minutes.

Back to AIM ModulesThe Problem DrawAIM Solves
A vast majority of manufacturing workflows begin with the same bottleneck: decoding 2D or 3D drawings and manually preparing this data, so further translations to manufacturing process, purchasing plans, control plans etc. can happen downstream. For complex parts, that could take several days for each individual part. Across hundreds of active part numbers and a constant flow of ECOs, it consumes thousands of engineering hours a year — and introduces risk of errors at every transcription step.
DrawAIM eliminates that step entirely. Drawings are read, interpreted, and structured automatically — with specialist-level accuracy, delivered to every downstream system simultaneously at the moment of release.

Engineering drawing data extraction software uses AI to read 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and automatically extract structured data — GD&T callouts, dimensional tolerances, material specifications, surface finish requirements, and title block fields — without manual interpretation. DrawAIM produces a Part Intelligence Record from every drawing processed, formatted for direct integration with ERP, PLM, and quality management systems. What distinguishes DrawAIM from generic document AI is the manufacturing domain knowledge library underneath — it understands the technical semantics of GD&T, not just the visual symbols.
In validated Mirai Ops deployments, DrawAIM achieves accuracy comparable to experienced manufacturing engineers across GD&T callout identification, tolerance extraction, and material specification normalization. Every extracted field is assigned a confidence score — low-confidence items are flagged for human review rather than passed downstream unchecked. Accuracy is further improved through library configuration: the GD&T and material knowledge libraries are configured to your specific drawing standards, customer requirements, and approved material list before deployment.
DrawAIM processes PDF, DXF, DWG, TIFF, PNG, and JPEG formats. It supports both ASME Y14.5-2018 and ISO 1101 GD&T standards, ISO 2768 general tolerancing, and industry-specific quality standards including AS9100 and IATF 16949. Material specifications are normalized across ASTM, AMS, and ISO designation systems. Output is delivered as JSON, CSV, XML, or direct ERP/PLM integration via API.
